YUNGBLUD Releases New Song “Lovesick Lullaby”
British singer-songwriter YUNGBLUD released a new song “Lovesick Lullaby” on April 25, 2025.
The song is the follow-up to classic rock-influenced, 9 minute long “Hello Heaven, Hello”, which was released last month.
Both songs will appear on his upcoming fourth studio album.
He first performed the song during an intimate gig at London’s Scala last month.
The track was written by Dominic Harrison and produced by Matt Schwartz, who also produced the previous song.
The accompanying music video was directed by Charlie Sarsfield as with the previous video for “Hello Heaven, Hello”.
YUNGBLUD said of the song, “Making this song was a f*cking party and you can hear that on the recording... [I tried to] let my subconscious do a lot of the talking and then make sense of my words the following afternoon in a kitchen, hungover, eating fish and chips with a cup of tea... I’ve been on a journey trying to find meaning in different places all over the world, for which I am forever grateful, but it felt as though my feet left the ground a little too much and I had to bring myself back... to British music, to British art and culture.”- The new album is a double album. It is his first album in three years since the 2022 self-titled album.
YUNGBLUD told NME about the album last December, “The new album centres around the idea of self-love and self-reclamation that allows people to feel seen, and emit this light. You can be seen for who you truly are, no matter where you’re from or what you believe... That’s what I needed to write an album about.” - source : Apple Music
