MF Tomlinson Releases New Song “Blink and You'll Miss It”
London-based singer-songwriter MF Tomlinson released a new song “Blink and You'll Miss It” on April 22, 2025.
The song is the second single from his upcoming third studio album “Die To Wake Up From a Dream”, which is set to be released on July 11, 2025 via PRAH Recordings.
This time, MF Tomlinson co-wrote the song with London-based electro-rock band Is Tropical's Gary Barber.
Softly plucked guitars, feathery flute runs, and warming saxophone interweave with luminous harmonies, as MF Tomlinson explores the challenge of staying present.
MF Tomlinson said of the song, “The song is about aging, at any age. As the album's opener, it flows seamlessly from We Are Still Wild Horses down to the beat. It’s a moment - a view from a great height - when the full weight of the distance between the person you used to be and the person you are now hits you like a freight train. It fills you up and empties you out all at once. Everything that has happened brought you here. You can never go back, but then again, you don’t need to. All of those moments are still happening endlessly inside you. You’re holding them all like a vessel.”- He continued, “This one means a helluva lot to me, it is a gift of a song that Gary Barber of Is Tropical brought to the studio over 10 years ago - I am so excited that everyone else gets to hear it today. To me, it’s the sound of a whole life happening all at once - a song about aging at any age, how we are always on the crest of the breaking wave, and how beautiful all that impermanence is.”

The new album comprises 9 songs, produced by MF Tomlinson. It is his first albumin two years since the 2023 album “We Are Still Wild Horses”.
The album is an urgent and vivid description of the times in which we live, fusing organic and electronic textures into a sonic tapestry that explores internal, external, and digital realms.
