James Bay Releases Deluxe Edition of “Changes All The Time”
British singer-songwriter and guitarist James Bay released a deluxe edition of the fourth studio album “Changes All The Time” on April 18, 2025.
The standard edition of the album was released last October for the first album in two years since the 2022 album “Leap”.
At that time, James Bay told Apple Music about the album, “I've come a bit of a long way round to the making of this album to say to myself that, more than ever before, I want the songs to come first, and I want my guitar playing to be the centre of those songs. I wanted the art and the musicianship to really come across and be elevated from what it had been before.”
The deluxe edition comprises 15 songs, including the original 11 songs and 4 new songs, featuring guest appearances from Nashville-based singer-songwriter Maggie Antone, American jazz pianist Jon Batiste and American singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow. Produced by Gabe Simon and James Bay.- James Bay said of the deluxe edition, “More is more :) An extended version of my latest album, with 4 new songs that express this chapter of my music. They continue the musical journey that I started for this record in 2023, that took me through 2024 and continues into 2025. It always feels so good to put more music out. Thank you so much for listening. I hope you love it.”

James Bay explained track-by-track for the deluxe edition.
“The Elephant” featuring Maggie Antone
“This one's about recognising struggle, moving through hard times and looking for the light. This song is very special to me and I loved how immediately it felt like a duet. It's another one I wrote with my mate Holly Humberstone and feel privileged to have the brilliant Maggie Antone duetting on it with me. What a voice! I'm excited for you to hear this one.”
“Latchkey Kid”
“Latchkey Kid is a song that wraps its arms around you when you're feeling a little lost but you know there's hope somewhere down road.”
“Sunshine In The Room” featuring Jon Batiste
“Working with Jon Batiste for 'Sunshine In The Room' is an experience I will never ever forget. He literally burst into the studio like a ray of sunshine and brought so much joy to the sound of the record and the work. He's a total inspiration, and I hope we can work together again. The song is about having someone in your life who truly lights up the room as soon as they walk in.”
“You and Me Time” featuring Sheryl Crow
“The amazing and talented, Sheryl Crow, was kind enough to join me on this record and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you all. Sheryl is a total legend and it's a real dream come true to share this song with such an icon Wrote this song with my great friend Jon Green and our buddy Trent Dabbs. What a joy!” - source : Apple Music
