Aly & AJ Announces New Album “Silver Deliverer”, Shares New Song “If You Get Lonely”
Los Angeles-based pop rock duo Aly & AJ, consisting of Aly Michalka and AJ Michalka, has announced their upcoming sixth studio album “Silver Deliverer” on May 2, 2025 via Aly & AJ Music.
The album is their first LP in two years since the 2023 album “With Love From”. Also, it is the third album as an independent artist.
From the album, the duo released the fourth single “If You Get Lonely” on April 18, 2025.
The song is accompanied by the Stephen Ringer-directed music video.
It was written by Aly Michalka, AJ Michalka, Jonathan Wilson, and Drew Erickson. Produced by Jonathan Wilson.
The duo said of the song, “A lonesome ballad for a weary traveler....we hope this song finds you when you're lonely. Shooting this video in towns across further cemented how special these haunting, beautiful places are. It's easy to feel isolated in our own feelings when we're going through a hard moment in life…but this song is hopefully a reminder that we all have someone who will be there if we ask for help.”- The new album comprises a 11-track, which the duo recorded with producers Jonathan Wilson and James McAlister at Five Star Studios in Topanga Canyon, California.
It is a '60s and '70s Laurel Canyon-inspired project. Also, Aly Michalka was pregnant and gave birth to her first son during the recording.
The duo said of the album, “We can't wait to share this entire album with you, it's our most personal journey we've been on and these memories feel sacred and somehow suspended in time.” -
AJ Michalka told Marie Claire about the album, “There's a beauty to this record because it feels like we're almost leaning back into the child-like wonder we had when we started, and that's really hard to recapture.”
