Dom Dolla & Kid Cudi Team Up for New Song “Forever”
Australian DJ Dom Dolla teamed up with American rapper Kid Cudi to release a new song “Forever” on April 18, 2025.
This marks the first collaboration between Dom Dolla and Kid Cudi. The pair said, “We'd never worked together before, but somehow we knew this one would be special.”
For Dom Dolla, the song is the second collaborative single of 2925, following the release of “Dreamin” featuring Daya back in February.
Meanwhile, for Kid Cudi, the song is the first single of 2025.
Dom Dolla first performed the song with Kid Cudi at Madison Square Garden in March 2025.
The track was written by Dominic Matheson and Scott Mescudi. Produced by Dom Dolla. The accompanying live was directed by Shevin Dissanayake.
Dom Dolla said, “We finished this song the night before Madison Square Garden. We had no idea how it was going to go down. we'd never performed together before, but afterwards we immediately knew this was the one.”- Dom Dolla said of the song, “Like many people, I grew up a massive fan of Kid Cudi. In many ways, his music was the soundtrack to my youth. When we met for the first time earlier this year, he said to me, 'Dom...I don't want to write sad music anymore.' Given his lyrical history and how far he's come as an artist, I was excited to get into the studio and see what we could create. We set ourselves the challenge of writing the happiest song we could. Everyone knows the world is going through a pretty wild time at the moment, so we wanted to transport listeners to another time and place.”
Kid Cudi added, “We'd never worked together before, but somehow we knew this one would be special.” -
