WheelUP & Abacus Team Up for New Song “Safe In Your Arms” featuring Liv East
London-based DJ WheelUP teamed up with long-time collaborator and London-based producer Abacus to release a new song “Safe In Your Arms” on April 17, 2025.
The pair recruited London-based singer-songwriter Liv East on the track.
The song is the fifth and final pre-release single from WheelUP's upcoming third studio album “Inner Light”, which is set to be released on May 30, 2025.
The track explores the uncertainty in a new connection, set against a backdrop of honeyed, soulful house.
It was written by Harry Bryson, Liv East, and Mapendla Daniel Moyo. Produced by WheelUP.
WheelUP said of the song, “I got to work with Liv East on this album, which was a dream come true. Her vocals are incredible, this is a new style for me too, Soul and House music vibes combining on this riddim... Linking up was such a pleasure; she is one of my favourite current UK singers. Her voice is like heaven, so sweet and soulful. This is a groovy track that comes from the heart”- Liv East said, “Safe In Your Arms is about that feeling you get when you start falling for someone; everything is new and mysterious, yet there are still questions about whether this person will be able to make you feel safe enough to let your guard completely down. The new album comprises 14 songs, featuring collaboration with Steven Bamidele, Victoria Port, Sean McCabe, Abacus, and Liv East.
It is his first album in two years since the 2023 album “We Are The Magic”.
WheelUP explaines about the album as “the positive energy that radiates through thoughts, decisions, and actions.”
