Loaded Honey Premieres New Song “Don't Speak” on BBC Radio 1
London-based music project Loaded Honey, consisting of J Lloyd (guitar/vocals) and Lydia Kitto (vocals/keybords), premiered a new song “Don't Speak” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
J Lloyd and Lydia Kitto are better known as members of London-based electro-pop band Jungle.
The song is the second single of 2025, following “Lessons” released April 2, 2025. Both songs are their first music in two years since the 2023 single “Only Gonna Let You Down”.
The track was written and produced by Lydia Kitto.
Lydia Kitto told Jack Saunders about the song, “It's been for a couple of years, really, we just had sort of a lot of off cuts from what could have been on the last Jungle album that we've made in that time period. And wasn't quite right at the time to go on the jungle album. So we just thought, 'oh, let's put them somewhere else.'”- J Lloyd continued, “It's very down tempo compared toJungle in some respects. I mean, 'Don't Speak', today. It's more kind of, there's a lot more balance. There's a lot more motion. Jungle was a bit kind of like, let's get out and have a dance and a boogie.”
Lydia Kitto added, “I guess it's my vocal, not hiding behind, like effects and pitching and as much.” -
The accompanying music video was directed by J Lloyd and Charlie Di Placido.
Lydia Kitto said of the video, “We went out to the desert in Palmdale and filmed like 11 videos in two days, which is really fun, and we got to be in them, so it's funny, like dressing up as a character, and we were just trying to do everything, like doing all the styling.” - source : BBC Radio 1
