Slow Motion Victory Releases New Song “Forgot”
Back in January, Toronto-based hard-rock band Slow Motion Victory, consisting of Toby Bey (vocals), Quentin Carter (guitar), Eric Peters (guitar), and Gordon Montford (drums), released their debut song “Burn”.
The band formed out of the embers of another project, Anniversary. The debut song is their first music in a decade. The band said, “Releasing Burn, our first new music in 10 years, was something we've been waiting for.”
Following the debut single, the band released a new song “Forgot” on April 4, 2025.
Both songs will appear on their upcoming debut EP “Let This Dream Die”, which is expected to be released in 2025.
Their latest work promises to expand their sonic landscape while staying true to the raw emotion and powerful melodies that define them.
The band showcases a harder, darker metal influence that pushes the boundaries of their signature sound.
The track was written by Quentin Carter and Toby Bey.
The band said of the song, “This song came from a dark place, and seeing it connect with so many of you means more than we can say. But we're just getting started.”- The band guitarist Quentin Carter told GigRadar about the EP, “This EP is going to be us at full power - massive choruses, big riffs, and emotion-packed lyrics. Every song brings something different, but they'll tie in cohesively together.”
He continued, “Our songs come from real experiences - struggles, perseverance, mental battles, and personal growth. We want listeners to connect, whether it's an anthem to scream along to or something that helps them through tough times. And of course, we also write tracks that just hit hard and make you want to move.” - source : Apple Music
