The Killers Releases New Short Film “The Killers & Bruce Springsteen: Encore At The Garden”
American rock band The Killers, consisting of Brandon Flowers (vocals), Dave Keuning (guitar), Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums) and Mark Stoermer (bass), released the 12-inch three-track live vinyl “The Killers & Bruce Springsteen: Encore At The Garden” on a Record Store Day (April 12).
The record features a live recording of their Madison Square Garden performance with American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen in 2022.
Alongside the vinyl, the band premiered the short film of the same name, which was directed by Giorgio Testi.
The record features “Badlands”, “Dustland”, and “Born To Run”, including contributions from Jake Clemons, saxophonist and nephew of late E Street Band member Clarence Clemons.
“Dustland” was released in 2021 as a collaborative single between The Killers and Bruce Springsteen. The original version of the song is “A Dustland Fairytale”, which was released as the single from the band's third studio album “Day & Age” in 2008.
“Badlands” was released by Bruce Springsteen as the second single from his fourth studio album “Darkness on the Edge of Town” in 1978.
“Born To Run” is the album title track of Bruce Springsteen's third studio album, which was released in 1975.- The Killers said of the vinyl, “This Saturday, April 12, relive the magic of Saturday, October 1, 2022, when we were joined by Bruce Springsteen for a 3-song, once-in-a-lifetime Encore At The Garden. Good things happen in twos! Today we are releasing “The Killers & Bruce Springsteen: Encore At The Garden,” directed by Giorgio Testi.”
Back in 2020, Bruce Springsteen said, “That's a hell of a band. Recently when I caught you, it may have been Glastonbury, the band was so good. You guys have developed such an incredible live show. Really something to be proud of.” - source : YouTube
