  • Sunday (1994) Announces New EP “Devotion”, Shares New Song “Rain”

  • Los Angeles-based indie-rock trio Sunday (1994), consisting of Paige Turner (vocals), Lee Newell (guitar) and Puma (drums), has announced their upcoming sophomore EP “Devotion” will be released on May 9, 2025 via Arista Records.

The EP is the follow-up to the 2024 self-titled debut EP and comprises 6 songs.

The band said of the EP, “We are also thrilled to unveil Devotion, our second EP, a fevered companion to our first. Each song converses, conspires, or is a continuation of one that came before. We won't tell you which; discovery is far more divine. Call it a psalm for the disenchanted. Or...an EP.”

From the EP, the band released a new song “Rain” on April 11, 2025.
The song is the second single off of the EP, following “Doomsday” released back in February.
On the track, the band lead singer Paige Turner sings a love story to rival Bonnie and Clyde, “I love you from the slammer to heaven / If we're drinking in bars or if we're living behind them / You're all I've got I'm not concerned / Is evil born or something you learn?”
The track was written by Paige Turner, and Lee Newell, who also produced it. The accompanying music video was edited by Lee Newell.
  • The band said of the song, “A devotion so deep it borders on doom, where love clings to the wreckage of crime and consequence. If fate demands suffering, then let it be shared; whether in a lover's arms or behind prison bars.”
