Anne-Marie Releases New 2-Track Project “Act II: If You're Looking for a New Best Friend”
British singer-songwriter Anne-Marie released her new 2-track project “Act II: If You're Looking For A Reason To Key Your Ex's Car” on April 11, 2025.
The project is as the second act in her “If You're Looking For...” series, following “Act I: If You're Looking For A New Best Friend” released back in February.
The project features two singles “That's What You Get” and “Knock-Knock”.
“That's What You Get” is a guitar-driven breakup anthem exploring the raw emotions of post-breakup sentiments, capturing the universal desire for a former partner to experience the consequences of their actions.
It was written by Anne-Marie Nicholson, Conor Blake, James Murray, Mustafa Omer, and Sara Boe. Produced by Mojam.
Staying true to the theme, “Knock-Knock” delivers a fiery depiction of her ex's “loser behaviour”.
It was written by Anne-Marie Nicholson, RoxSam Brennan, and Tom Hollings. Produced by Billen Ted.- Anne-Marie said of the project, “The only good thing about being mugged off in relationships is being able to write songs about it. So here's to all the things we wish we could've said to our ex's that we didn't get the chance to say.”
