tiLLie Premieres New Song “cut me” on BBC Radio 1
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter tiLLie premiered a new song “cut me” on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Sian Eleri.
The song is her first single of 2025, and the second single since the 2024 EP “tiLLieverse” released last July.
The vivid imagery and raw honesty in the lyrics highlight the internal battles of seeking love and validation from someone who ultimately causes harm.
She sings, “I run to you when I'm numb and / Broken, longing to feel something / Catch me when I'm down at my lowest / Just to cut me, just to cut me / One step from reclamation, but you hate it / Pull me right back in / It takes a lot to break a bitch like me / You know just where to cut me.”
It reflects the difficulty of reclaiming one's strength and identity in the face of such challenges.
