  • Rachel Chinouriri Releases New EP “Little House”

  • London-based singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri released her fourth EP “Little House” on April 4, 2025 via Parlophone.

This marks her first project since the 2024 debut album “What A Devastating Turn of Events”. As the EP, it is the follow-up to “Live at KOKO”, which was released last August.
The EP comprises 4 songs, produced by apob and Chloe Kraemer. Written by apob, Chloe Kraemer, Glen Roberts, HYLNU, Ines Dunn, Mary Weitz, Rachel Chinouriri and Rich Turvey.

Rachel Chinouriri said of the EP, “I wrote this EP about my dreams of having a little house with my future partner and my dreams of having lots of land, a small house and having animalsa nd I had this dream about living alonea nd that is something I've wanted to achieve since I was a child. However, the moment that I met my partner, I realised that he made my vision feel very complete and I didn't realise that me not wanting a partner was maybe me protecting myself from future pain and I didn't know what I'd do without him, to be honest, ever since I've met him, because he's definitely fixed a very heartbroken girl and I've blossomed into a not so heartbroken woman.”
  • Rachel Chinouriri explained track-by-track for the EP.

    “Can we talk about Isaac?”
“I write songs from a place of trauma but since releasing my album, I've consistently been in therapy and fell in love. Isaac makes me feel so protected and I've never felt protected really in my life, especially from men. I just felt so much of a new emotion I decided to let myself write about how much I love him, no matter what happens the fact Isaac is the first and only guy to make me feel like this is special. It's a shame that it took that to love myself. but Isaac is my hero. and I hope this fairytale never ends.”

  • “23:42”
“'23:42' is about the joys I felt realizing I actually enjoyed being in love with someone. Even though I have been with Isaac for over a year, we still both feel the same about each other and it feels really fun and I guess I tease him a lot in real life, so in the song it feels a little bit like I'm teasing him and shows how fun love can really be.”

    “Judas (Demo)”
“I know Judas famously was someone who betrayed Jesus in the Bible, however, I wanted to speak about Judas in the way of me betraying myself to fall in love with Isaac and play on the themes of the Garden of Gethsemane and the kiss and how even though I betrayed myself to ultimately have a good outcome, I don't regret our first kiss in any way.”

    “Indigo”
“'Indigo' is just a walk down memory lane of all the memories I've had with Isaac since the very beginning and how he makes love feel for me. And I feel like I feel music in a very sentimental, melancholic way generally. And he makes me feel like that and I wanted a song to represent it. And there's a song called 'Riley Crow' by a band called Foreign Fields, which is one of our favourite songs from when we went to the Peak District and hung out together and I'll never forget that day and he makes me feel really euphoric and that's what I made the song about.”
