  • Colbie Caillat Releases New Version of “If You Love Me Let Me Go” featuring Russell Dickerson

  • American singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat released a new version of “If You Love Me Let Me Go” on April 4, 2025.

This time, she teamed up with American country pop singer-songwriter Russell Dickerson.
The original version of the song is featured on her fifth studio album “Gypsy Heart”, which was released in 2014.
It was written by Colbie Caillat, Jamie Scott, John Ryan, and Julian Bunetta. The new version was produced by Eric Arjes and Jimmy Robbins.
The accompanying music video was directed by Patrick Tracy, who filmed it in Nashville.
For Colbie Caillat, the song is the second collaborative single of 2025.
Last month, she collaborated with British pop group Take That's lead singer Gary Barlow for his new song “If There's Not A Song About It.
  • Colbie Caillat said of the song, “I've experienced this after a breakup - painfully stuck in the cycle of someone coming in and out of your life. If you love each other, work on it. But sometimes, real love means knowing when to let go. I've been friends with Russell for years and knew this story needed two voices - he's perfect for it.”

Russell Dickerson said, “I've always been a huge fan of Colbie! So, when she asked me to join her on this song, I was honestly blown away. Her music is timeless, and she's truly the voice of a generation. Being part of something like this is such an honor and a pleasure!”
