  • Hot Milk Releases New Song “Swallow This”

  • Manchester-based alt-rock band Hot Milk, consisting of Han Mee (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Jim Shaw (lead vocals/guitar), Tom Paton (bass) and Harry Deller (drums), released a new song “Swallow This” along with a music video on April 4, 2025.

The song is the second single off of their upcoming sophomore album “Corporation P.O.P”, which is set to be released on June 27, 2025 via Music For Nations.
It was written by Hannah Mee, James Shaw, KJ Strock, and Zach Jones. Produced by James Shaw, Zach Jones, and KJ Strock.

The band lead singer Han Mee said of the song, “We live in a post-truth era, we are confused, we are lost, and we are untrusting. We must follow our gut to what is moral, right and kind. Swallow This is a protest song against the hypodermic needle of control media. They anger and press upon pressure points to gain control. As we have always said, QUESTION EVERYTHING. It is healthy and it is right in this world that has evolved too fast for our primate brains to keep up. We must prioritise the wellness and safety of our fellow man, no matter their race, creed, religion, gender or sexuality. We are human beings, do not let something as common as money and power replace what truly matters. Community, joy, laughter, spirit. I will stand on that picket line first if it comes to it, for now, this is all we got. Enjoy, f 'em.”
  • The new album comprises 14 songs, produced by Jim Shaw, Zach Jones and KJ Strock. The band recorded the album as a live album between their Salford flat and a live room in Los Angeles. But the album takes root in Manchester and Salford.
The band decided to film all of their videos in their hometown.

The band lead singer Han Mee said, “Manchester is the best f'in city in the world. We started this band in Manchester, it’s intrinsic to me and who I am. It has to bleed into the art we create, because it helped me create it.”

  • Lead guitarist Jim Shaw said of the album, “Corporation P.O.P is a flurry of thoughts, feelings, ramblings from the afters n questions about where we're at right now in England, the further western world and emotionally. It is an entry from the perspective of us lot who live a dichotomy of months in faraway lands and then experience the sudden grounding of returning home to Salford. It's hard not to compare, contrast and try to understand. P.O.P = Payment of Pain. We all must live with the burden of modernity and this pain has been commodified; we all must pay.”
