HAIM Releases New Song “Everybody's trying to figure me out”
Last Month, Los Angeles-based pop rock band HAIM, consisting of Alana Haim (vocals/guitar), Danielle Haim (vocals/drums) and Este Haim (vocals/bass), returned with the song “Relationships” for the first time in three years.
Following the comeback song, the band released a new song “Everybody's trying to figure me out” on April 4, 2025.
Both songs will appear on their upcoming, yet-to-be-announced fourth studio album.
It was written by Alana Haim, Danielle Haim, Este Haim, Justin Vernon, and Rostam Batmanglij. Produced by Rostam Batmanglij, Danielle Haim, and Buddy Ross, as with the previous song.
The band vocalist Danielle Haim said of the song, “This next song we will be releasing is my favorite song we've written in the last couple years. Writing it has gotten me through some hard times, and we felt this might be of some use to get our vibes right for this summer! I started writing this after a panic attack I had the night I got home from tour. I was very confused because I was SO SO SO happy about our incredible tour, but something about being alone with myself scared the shit out of me. after a lot of reflecting I realized I've let a lot of people try and tell me how I should live my life, but I realized in making everyone else happy, I lost myself. I wrote this as a way to believe in myself again and quit being scared to do what I want. I hope this finds anyone who needs it.”- On the new album, the band worked with producer Rostam Batmanglij, who co-produced their previous albums “Something to Tell You” and “Women in Music Pt. III”.
Alana Haim told I-D about working with Rostam Batmanglij, “Working with Rostam, in general it's very quick, kinetic with him, which I really love as an artist, Maybe before, it wasn't that way, it was kind of a more... longer, searching, labored situation.” - source : Apple Music
