Miley Cyrus Releases Two New Songs “Prelude” & “Something Beautiful”
Last week American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus announced her ninth studio album “Something Beautiful” would be released on May 30, 2025 via Columbia Records.
The album, inspired by British rock band Pink Floyd’s 1979 album “The Wall”, is her first LP in two years since the 2023 album “Endless Summer Vacation”.
It will arrive as a project with a 13-track and was executive produced by Miley Cyrus and Shawn Everett.
Also, she will release the film alongsite the album in June.
From the album, she released two songs “Prelude” and “Something Beautiful” along with the music videos on March 30, 2025.
Both videos were directed by Miley Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter.
“Prelude” was written by Cole Haden, Jonathan Rado, Maxx Morando, Michael Pollack, Miley Cyrus, and Shawn Everett. Produced by Miley Cyrus, Maxx Morando, Shawn Everett, Jonathan Rado, Michael Pollack.
On the video, she wears archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture, as seen on the album artwork, shot by renowned fashion photographer Glen Luchford.- “Something Beautiful” was written by Max Taylor-Sheppard, Maxx Morando, Michael Pollack, Miley Cyrus, and Ryan Beatty. Produced by iley Cyrus, Maxx Morando, Max Taylor-Sheppard, Michael Pollack, Jonathan Rado, and Shawn Everett.
The track explores her deep connection to fashion showcasing an original custom design by Casey Cadwallader for the House of Mugler in the visual.
After the release of two songs, she will be released another song called “End of the World” from the album on April 3, 2025. -
Miley Cyrus told Rolling Stone about the album last year, “The visual component of this is driving the sound. And so I have this heart-first attachment to it. My idea was making The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.
