  • Blossoms Premieres New Song “The Honeymoon” on BBC Radio 1

  • British alt-pop band Blossoms, consisting of Tom Ogden (vocals/guitar), Charlie Salt (bass), Josh Dewhurst (lead guitar), Joe Donovan (drums) and Myles Kellock (keyboards), premiered a new song “The Honeymoon” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.

The song is the second single off of their upcoming deluxe edition of the fifth studio album “Gary”, following “Mariah Carey Through Death Valley” released back in February.
The deluxe edition comprise 9 songs and well be released online.
The track was Charles Salt, Joseph Donovan, Joshua Dewhurst, Myles Kellock, and Thomas Ogden. Produced by James Skelly.

“I would say the there's a line in there about seeing the happiest couple I've ever seen. That's a true line. And it was an easy jet flight to Italy. They drank champagne at half, eight in the morning,” the band lead singer Tom Ogden told Jack Saunders about the song. “I was typing just things. I was thinking in the moment. And then when you're writing tunes, you kind of look back to draw influence from things you was right about. And I don't know song in cheek, I mean because I'm saying the way they're acting on the plane made me feel quite insane. That just shows the cynical frame of mind. I was probably in at half, eight in the morning flight.”
  • He continued, “The rest of the tune is kind of like being in the line, 'I found my fragility / But I forget the anniversary / But I think that's ok, 'cause so did you', like, that's again, that was true. We both forgot our wedding anniversary, because we had loads going on. And it was kind of about taking stock and coming together and being like, really appreciating each other after moments of kind of being sucked like, kind of sweats away with the rest of the stuff of life, if you get.”
