Inge Lamboo Releases New Song “Call Out Your Name” featuring Pete Townshend
Dutch singer-songwriter Inge Lamboo joined forces with British rock band The Who's Pete Townshend to release a new song “Call Out Your Name” on March 28, 2025.
The song is the fourth single off of her upcoming sophomore album “This Is How The Future Sounds”, which is set to be released on May 30, 2025.
Inge Lamboo caught the attention of the legendary guitarist from The Who after one of her mashups went viral on Instagram. What started as a spontaneous online interaction evolved into a remarkable musical connection.
Inge Lamboo said, “Do I dare ask him to play on my new album? I spent two weeks thinking about it.” And then she send “Call Out Your Name” to Pete Townshend. Two weeks later, Pete Townshend responds with his contribution, a blazing guitar solo.
She continued, “His playing is very recognizable, rhythmic, and full of attitude.”
The track was written by Inge Lamboo, and Jan Schröder, who also produced it.- She said, “The moment has finally arrived. A few months ago, I was lying in bed at night, unable to sleep, because I was so eager to give it a try. Sometimes, your intuition speaks so loudly to you, and you should never ignore it. Looking back, I chuckle because who would have thought that so early in my career, I would have the opportunity to collaborate with legendary Pete Townshend? Pete, thank you for this chance, your amazing playing, your perspective on the song, and the fun and inspiring conversation. I'm so thankful, happy, proud and in love with this song and collaboration. A dream come true.”

Pete Townshend said, “It was an honour to be asked to play guitar on one of Inge Lamboo's new tracks. I follow her work on Instagram and she is making terrific Indie-style music with some really smart twists. The guitar work on her tracks is perfectly wonderful without me, so I decided to throw some mud at the wall – in the old '60s style, and amazingly it worked. Inge is a special talent, we should ALL look out for her.” - source : Apple Music
