Wax Owls Releases New Song “The Notice”
Los Angeles-based indie-folk band Wax Owls, consisting of Chris Tsaganeas (vocals/rhythm guitar), Gerry Hirschfeld (drums), Shannon Meske (keyboard), Rich Fuchs (guitar) and Bobby Digital (bass), released a new song “The Notice” on March 28, 2025.
The song is their first music since the debut EP “Cowboy Cologne”, which was released last September.
Also, the track will appear on their upcoming second EP, which is set to be released this summer.
It was written and produced by Gerry Hirschfeld.
The band said of the song, “The song explores the aftermath of a life-changing moment-the struggle of letting go, the passage of time, and the hope that it's just a phase. With prior support from Alexrainbird and a sync in the upcoming indie film Ethan Bloom, this release leads into their more stripped-back, folk-driven EP coming this summer. Ideal for folk-pop or personal growth playlists.”- Wax Owls was formed when friends Chris Tsaganeas and Gerry Hirschfeld quit their jobs as lawyers to pursue their dreams and passions.
The band explores themes of resilience, self-discovery and finding light in the darkest of times.
For Gerry Hirschfeld, the impetus was tragically losing a professional mentor to suicide after the immense pressures of a high-stakes legal career. “We don’t want to look back and regret not having the time to do the things we love.” - source : Apple Music
