Maren Morris Announces New Album “D R E A M S I C L E”, Shares New Song “carry me through”
American singer-songwriter Maren Morris has announced her upcoming fourth studio album “D R E A M S I C L E” will be released on May 9, 2025.
The album is her first LP in three years since the 2022 album “Humble Quest” and comprises 14 songs, including the 5-track EP “Intermission” released last August.
From the album, she unveiled a new song “carry me through” on March 27, 2025.
The song is the follow-up to “People Still Show Up”, which was released last October. The track delves into the process of moving forward through challenging seasons of life.
It was written by Maren Morris, and Greg Kurstin, who also produced the track.
Maren Morris said of the song in a statement, “This was written in early 2023 before a lot of things went down. I really do think sometimes songs are premonitions. I wanted to address some anxieties I was having but also give myself some peace by saying, 'It's not all on you right now. lean on safe people.'”- Last December, Maren Morris told Elle about the album, “It represents a lot of influences, a lot of leaps of faith-just true artistic freedom, which is what I've always wanted, and I've had, but not in this way, where it's dovetailing with my personal life freedom. I've gotten to wear many hats in my career, but with my own personal project upcoming, there are no training wheels. I'm being my truest, most secure self. I think the album reflects [my experience of] becoming a mom in the last few years, changing the way I do business post-pandemic, and then also understanding why I needed to let go of some comforts to grow into the person that I needed to be.”
