Waiting for Smith Returns with New Song “I Like Life”
Amsterdam-based British singer-songwriter Harry Lloyd, aka Waiting For Smith returned with a new song “I Like Life” on March 21, 2025.
The song is his first music since the debut album “Raised Up”, which was released last May. Also, the song will appear on his upcoming EP of the same name.
“I Like Life” encapsulates this ethos. The lyrics ask, “Do you like life?” Harry Lloyd explains, “It's a question we all feel, and it's so simple but profound.”
The track was written by Hardress Lloyd, Ramon de Wilde, and Narayan, who also produced it.
Harry Lloyd said of the song, “This song came about 4 years ago when I turned up to a writing session in Amsterdam. I didn't wanna go that day because I felt kinda unmotivated - Ironically the song that appeared was the most uptempo thing I'd ever created.”
He added, “After one cup of coffee, 2 hours of talking and 30 minutes of music - I Like Life was born. I LOVE this song!!”- With its genre-blending sound, the new EP bridges generations and eras, carrying an ancient message of awakening that stretches from 2,500 years ago to the present day. It’s a call for us all to embrace and enjoy our existence, coming together through the universal power of music.
