The Knocks & Dragonette Announce New Collaborative Album “Revelation”, Share New Song “Foolish Pleasure”
New York-based electro-pop duo The Knocks and Canadian singer-songwriter Dragonette announced their upcoming first collaborative album “Revelation” will be released on June 6, 2025 via Neon Gold Records/Futures/Virgin.
The album comprises 9 songs, which is set in a 1980's corporate liminal space at the fictional company Revelation Technologies, and is a satirical look at the homogenization of marketing and art in the modern landscape.
This marks the first collaboration in three years between The Knocks and Dragonette since the 2022 collaborative song “Slow Song”, which is featured on The Knocks' third studio album “History”.
From the album, they released a new song “Foolish Pleasure” on March 21, 2025.
The song is the third single off of the album, following “Revelation” and “The Hero”.
It was written by Adam Pallin, Benjamin Ruttner, James Patterson, Joel Stouffer, and Martina Sorbara. Produced by Adam Pallin and The Knocks.- Dragonette said of the song, “This song started off so differently than it ended up. In fact, I don't think any single vocal from the original idea stayed in the final version. But the feeling and the emotion of it was always the same. I think everyone can relate at some point to the sense that work and stress and responsibilities have taken over your life and it can reach the point that the pursuit of adventure and spontaneity feels like necessary medicine.”
The Knocks shared, “'Foolish Pleasure' is yours NOW! But wait… THERE'S MORE! On June 6th, all Revelation product inventory will be available in a technology we call an album.” -
