Leah Kate Releases New Song “Just Because”
American singer-songwriter Leah Kate released a brand new song “Just Because” on March 21, 2025.
The song is her first single of 2025 and is accompanied by the Palmer Wells-directed music video.
The track was inspired by a chance encounter with her ex-boyfriend.
It was written by Casey Smith, Leah Kalmenson, Madison Love, N/A, and Zach Skelton. Produced by Andrew Goldstein and Zack Skelton.
Leah Kate said of the song, “I was in New York when my ex called me out of the blue. He’s someone I’ve never been able to completely get over, and when he told me he still thinks about me, it triggered me. I wrote the lyrics that night, capturing the rawness of it all. The city’s energy is woven into the song-‘Can I be brutally honest for once in my life?
