Knox Releases New Song “50/50”
Nashville-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Knox will release his debut album “Going, Going, Gone” on April 4, 2025 via Atlantic Records.
From the album, he released the fourth and final pre-release single called “50/50” on March 14, 2025, following “Not The 1975”, “Pick Your Poison” and “You Happened”.
The song is accompanied by the Chase Denton-directed music video.
It was written by David Hodges, Knox Morris, Spencer Jordan, and Whakaio Taahi. Produced by David Hodges and Whakaio Taahi.
The debut album comprises 16 songs, produced by Cam Becker, Corey Mouch, Dan Swank, David Hodges, Whakaio Taahi and Will Carlson.
The album is inspired by the 1985 film “The Breakfast Club”. A yearning for nostalgia serves as a main theme in his debut album.- Knox told Billboard about album, “There's a quote from the movie that's my favorite quote ever, where [Mr. Vernon] says, 'Spend a little less time trying to impress people and a little more time trying to make something of yourself.' For a long time, when I was making this record, I was constantly thinking, 'I hope other people like this,' instead of just making music that I loved. I wanted to continue to shift that mindset going into my album.”
