Koven Premieres New Song “The High We Seek” on BBC Radio 1
London-based drum and bass duo Koven, consisting of Max Rowat (producer) and Katie Boyle (vocals/DJ), premiered a new song “The High We Seek” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is the sixth single off of their upcoming sophomore album “Moments In Everglow”, which is set to be released on April 18, 2025.
The track was written by Katie Boyle, and Max Rowat. Produced by Koven.
DJ Katie Boyle told Jack Saunders about the song, “This is a love song hidden in a europhoric. Drum and bass, banger. This song in particular, It's a love song, but it doesn't really sound like a love song because it sounds like a dance floor banger. But me and Max, we love to write about sort of everything and anything. And we are so fortunate to have such a really strong fan base of people who really connect with our lyrics. So it is really important to us.”- The new album comprises 12 songs, featuring collaborations with Australian DJ ÆON:MODE, Australian DJ Blanke and American DJ Steve Aok. Produced by Koven.
It is their first album in five years since the 2020 album “Butterfly Effect”.
Katie Boyle said of the album, “I mean, I know it's very vague. But there are so many moments that you get in life. Our album, that's coming out, 'Moments In Everglow', and we have this kind of body of work that is ultimately about so many things that are happening within everybody's lives, all of our lives.” - source : BBC Radio 1
