Phoneboy Releases New Song “Red Wine”
New Jersey-based indie rock band Phoneboy, consisting of Jordan Torres (vocals/keyboards), Wyn Barnum (vocals/guitar), Ricky Dana (vocals/guitar) and James Fusco (bass), released the third single called “Red Wine” from their upcoming third studio album “Heartbreak Designer” on March 13, 2025.
The new album is set to be released on April 25, 2025 via AWAL.
The song is accompanied by the Lianne Rose Richards-directed music video, featuring dancer Kelly Peters.
It was written by James Fusco, Jordan Torres, Richard Dana, and Wyn Barnum. Produced by Ayad Al Adhamy.
The band said of the song, “Red Wine” is all about answering the question 'what if Phoneboy went pop?' When we wrote it, we wanted a pop banger: fun and carefree on the surface but really about trying too hard to be someone you're not. We've always loved pop music, from Whitney Houston to Hot Chelle Rae to Chappell Roan, and watching bands like The 1975 fuse alt-rock with pop inspired us to take our own swing at it. It's like an existential crisis wrapped up in an anthem.”- The new album comprises 11 songs, produced by Ayad Al Adhamy. It is their first album in two years since the 2023 album “Moving Out”.
The band said of the album, “We spent a year and a half writing these songs on the road and in our bedrooms. we're so excited for you to hear them.” - source : Apple Music
