  • Cardinal Black Announces New Album “Midnight at The Valencia”, Shares New Song “Keep On Running”

  • Cardiff-based rock band Cardinal Black, consisting of Tom Hollister (vocals), Chris Buck (guitar) and Adam Roberts (drums), has announced their upcoming sophomore album “Midnight at The Valencia” will be released on May 23, 2025.

It is their first studio album in three years since the 2022 album “January Came Close”.
From the album, the band released a new song “Keep On Running” on March 12, 2025.
The song is the fourth single off of the album, following “Holding My Breath”, “Push/Pull”, and “Your Spark (Blows Me to Pieces)”.
The track is a story taken from the band frontman Tom Hollister’s time in university.
It was written by Adam Roberts, Chris Buck, Sam Williams, and Tom Hollister. Produced by Cyrill Camenzind.
The accompanying music video was directed by Lewys Mann.

Tom Hollister said of the song, “I had a friend who was being stalked. Looking back, it's something that probably went unnoticed too easily. Something that was considered all too normal. It’s a darker track, absolutely, but unfortunately I think it will also be very relatable for a lot of our fans.”
  • The band continued, We want our shows to be safe and enjoyable regardless of who you are. We work hard to make sure security staff at venues take seriously any concerns around sexual assaults. 30% of women attending festivals have experienced some form of unwanted sexual attention. If you or anyone you know is effected by this or would like to find out more about the work Safe Gigs For Women are doing to stop this, please check out the links here: https://sgfw.org.uk, https://www.womensaid.org.uk/

  • The new album comprises 11 songs, produced by Cyrill Camenzind at Powerplay Studios in Zurich.
The band set out to create a record that represented their “10,000 hours” of work, having played in just about every backwater dive bar and neon-soaked club they’d come across.

Tom Hollister said of the album, “It’s a long, shared history we have. We feel like we’ve paid our dues, and this album is the culmination of all that effort.”
