Lucy Dacus Releases New Song “Talk”
American singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus released the fourth single called “Talk” from her upcoming fourth studio album “Forever Is A Feeling” on March 12, 2025.
The song follows “Best Guess”, “Ankles”, and “Limerence”. The album is set to be released on March 28, 2025 via Geffen Records.
The track sees a return to the hazy, guitar-driven heaviness that was prominent on her past tracks.
It was written and produced by Lucy Dacus, with production by Blake Mills.
Lucy Dacus said od the song, “It's about being with someone for so long that you lose touch with each other, but the other person still expects you to have sex. And having that fear of, 'If I don't do this, the relationship is over, but maybe it's already over, because we can't talk anymore. That, to me, was a really dark, eternal question at a point in my life.”- The new album comprises 13 songs, featuring collaboration with Irish singer-songwriter Hozier. Produced by Lucy Dacus, Jake Finch, Andrew Lappin, Blake Mills, Collin Pastore, and Bartees Strange.
Also, her band boygenius' bandmate Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers joined in the album as background vocals.
Lucy Dacus said of the album title, “You can't actually capture forever. But I think we feel forever in moments. I don't know how much time I've spent in forever, but I know I've visited.” -
Lucy Dacus said of the album, “I wrote and recorded a lot of this during boygenius, and it was my little personal secret. Like, a lot of the recordings were breaks between tours. We ended a US tour, and I just, like, stayed in Nashville and recorded a bit. So, I think that slow crossfade of, like, working with them, working on my own things.”
