Emily Haber Releases Debut Song “Nostalgia”
American singer-songwriter Emily Haber released her debut song “Nostalgia” on March 12, 2025.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut EP of the same name, which is expected to be released in 2025.
Emily Haber is known as the lead singer of American family band Laughing Pizza. She signed with Prescription Songs, marking the start of a professional songwriting career in 2017.
Her collaborations span a wide range of artists, including Andy Grammer, Joy Oladokun, Anna Clendening, Gryffin, Abby Anderson, carobae, Miki Ratsula, Devon Gabriella, and Erika Jayne. The EP is her debut project as a solo artist.
The track is a tribute to the childhood she longed for but never truly had, blending wistful dreams with the heartbreak of growing up.
It was written by Emily Haber and produced by Daniel Davila.
Emily Haber said of the song, “'Nostalgia,' is my tribute to the childhood I longed for but never truly had, blending wistful dreams with the heartbreak of growing up.”- She continued, “Like most days at home, I wrote this song on my guitar, but this one felt different. It was more than just a starter to bring into a session, and after years of getting to write with / for other artists, I felt like I had something that was truly my own.”
She added, “I brought it to my now fiancé who felt the same way I did about it. Having met outside of a writing room, we always said we would only work together on projects that felt like we were truly the best two people to complete a vision. Never did I think that it would be my song, my voice, and my story.” -
Born with severe hearing loss in both ears, she wore hearing aids from the age of four. It wasn't until advancements in hearing aid technology at 13 that Emily truly heard her own voice, and by 17, she experienced intricate layers of music for the first time thanks to The Starkey Foundation.
Giving back, she will donate a portion of the proceeds of the new single to The Starkey Hearing Foundation.
