  • HAIM Premieres New Song “Relationships” on BBC Radio 1

  • Los Angeles-based pop rock band HAIM, consisting of Alana Haim (vocals/guitar), Danielle Haim (vocals/drums) and Este Haim (vocals/bass), is back.

The band premiered a new song “Relationships” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is their first music in three years since the 2022 single “Lost Track”.
Also, the track will appear on their upcoming fourth studio album, which is their first album in five years since the 2020 album “Women in Music Pt. III”.
The song is accompanied by the Camille Summers-Valli-directed music video, featuring Queer actor Drew Starkey.
It was written by Alana Haim, Ariel Rechtshaid, Buddy Ross, Danielle Haim, Este Haim, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Rostam Batmanglij. Produced by ostam Batmanglij, Danielle Haim, and Buddy Ross.
The band wrote the song seven years ago and finally released it.
  • HAIM told Jack Saunders about the song, “This song, it took us seven years to finish. It's been our like we've been waiting so long to just put it out. And now it's finally time. And it's about everything that we always go through. Are you in a relationship? Are you taking are you in a situationship? It's all everything. Are you not in a relationship? Do you not want to be in a relationship? It's all things all encompassing.”

  • They continued, “We care about production and things like that. But it was kind of just the thing where we knew it was special. It would just never sound right. We're like, oh, this song could every time we tried to produce it. It didn't like, meet our expectations. Like it was just like, this could be better this way, or this different drum pattern. And honestly, it was kind of a slower song was kind of more of a sad song when we first started it. And then we just thought maybe better to have more of a dance beat. It just kind of like, we really wanted this to be the song that gets you on the dance floor. So I think this is the most dancy HAIM song for now.”
