Neal Francis & Say She She Team Up for New Song “Broken Glass”
Chicago-based singer-songwriter Neal Francis will release his upcoming third studio album “Return To Zero” this Friday (March 14) via ATO Records.
From the album, he released the fourth and final pre-release single called “Broken Glass” on Mar ch 11, 2025.
On the track, he teamed up with New York-based female-led band Say She She again, following “Need You Again” released last month.
The song is accompanied by the Alec Basse-directed music video.
The track was born from a session featuring Francis on bass and Queens of the Stoneage bassist Michael Shuman on drums.
It was written by Michael Shuman and Neal Francis O'Hara. Produced by Sergio Rios and Neal Francis.
Neal Francis said of the song, “This tune was born from a jam session with Michael Shuman from Queens of the Stone Age. He was on drums and I was on bass. It was the first time we met, and not only did we have fun, but left with a complete song. The lyrics were free-form material I had written down about sub/dom relationships in the bedroom.”- The new album comprises 11 songs, featuring collaborations with Say She She and Carlile.
It is his first album in four years since the 2021 album “In Plain Sight”.
The album features a beautifully strange entangling of timeless rock ’n’ roll and ’70s-era dance music.
Neal Francis constructed the album sans digital programming in keeping with his long-standing devotion to all things analog. - source : Apple Music
