DEAR TASH Premieres New Song “FATAL” on BBC Introducing
London-based alt-rock singer-songwriter DEAR TASH, formerly TASH, premiered a new song “FATAL” on BBC Introducing with Jess Iszatt.
The song is the second single as DEAR TASH, following “Do I Wanna Go In For The Kill?” released back in January.
The track explores the universal experience of staying in a relationship long past its breaking point, waiting until the resentment builds, making the departure less painful.
It was written by Ben Mark, Bradley Spence, Jess Cake, and Tara Noble. Produced by Jess Cake and Bradley Spence.
DEAR TASH said of the song, “It's about the moment you realize you've already left emotionally, even if you're still physically there. Sometimes, it takes hitting that point of frustration to finally walk away.”- She continued, “When I wrote FATAL with Ben Mark & Jess Cake, we took a break to have a pint in the pub across the road but continued working on the lyrics and what direction the track was taking. I'm going to be honest it was hard but cathartic, diving deep into the pain of an old relationship, one that I had checked out of long before we actually broke up (an experience many of my peers as well as myself have experienced).”

The accompanying music video was directed by JMNI.
DEAR TASH said of the video, “'The Golden Lion' inspired the open lyric of the track and then it all fell into place, I knew I had to film the music video there and build the whole idea based on this image hanging on the wall of my favourite pub in London which JMNI helped me bring to live better than I could have ever imagined. It's the realest and most honest I have ever been to myself so as painful as life can be, beautiful things are born from them, I hope you enjoy the ride.”
