Ghost Announces New Album “Skeletá”, Shares New Song “Satanized”
Swedish rock band Ghost has announced their upcoming sixth studio album “Skeletá” will be released on April 25, 2025 via Loma Vista.
It is their first album in three years since the 2022 album “Impera”.
The album comprises 10 songs, produced by Gene Walker.
According to a press release, the new album is its most unflinchingly introspective work to date, and the lyrics render the distinct individual emotional vistas of each of its 10 songs in one-on-one fashion, at times as if in a dialogue with oneself in a mirror.
From the album, the band released the first single called “Satanized” along with a music video on March 5, 2025.
The song is described in the press release as “an avalanche of infectious hooks and harmonies is buoyed by a hypnotic shuffle, as the narrator succumbs to dark forces within and without, helplessly acknowledging their own blasphemy and heresy as it inexorably consumes them.”
The track was written by A Ghoul WriterSalem Al FakirVincent Pontare and produced by Gene Walker.- The band said of the song, “We wish to inform you that with just a few plumes of smoke our PERPETUAL state of anticipation has subsided. We learned patience is key to opening any door in life. Let us celebrate the crowning of Papa V Perpetua and the announcement of Ghost's six-six-sixth psalm, Skeletá. Watch the "Satanized" music video; a demonic tale of possession has never sounded this sweet.”
