Toronto-based singer-songwriter Kari Lyn returned with a new song “Fall (I'm Not Ready)” on February 28, 205.
The song is her first music in two years since the 2023 single “Anyways”.
The track was written literally while she was sleeping, in a moment of subconscious creativity.
Waking up in the middle of the night, she instinctively recorded a voice memo, capturing lyrics and melodies nearly identical to the final version.
The song reflects her personal struggles with change, self-doubt, and the courage to move forward.
It was written by Kari Lyn Celeste Blacquiere and produced by Dan Hosh.
Kari Lyn said of the song, “I really feel like I've been holding myself back from success. Consciously, I've wanted to share my story for a long time, but subconsciously, I've been too scared. Writing this song in my sleep felt like my subconscious was telling me it's time.”- source : Apple Music
