ADÉLA Releases New Song “MACHINE GIRL”
Slovak singer-songwriter ADÉLA released her brand new song “MACHINE GIRL” on February 28, 2025.
The song is her third single, following “HOMEWRECKED” and “SUPERSCAR”.
The track is accompanied by the Mitch deQuilettes-directed music video.
This time, she worked with Canadian singer-songwriter Grimes, who co-wrote and co-produced the track. Also, Grimes appeared on the video as a cameo.
According to a press release, the song is as “biting commentary on the spectacle of female conflict - how, despite purportedly embracing a culture of women supporting women, audiences still revel in watching them tear each other down.”
It was written by Adéla Jergova, Dylan Harrison Lubin, Grimes, Liam Benayon, and Sam Catalano. Produced by Slush Puppy, Liam Benayon, Grimes, and Dylan Harrison.
ADÉLA shared, “Me when I got Grimes and Sofia Wylie to be in my MV.”- Back in 2020, ADÉLA entered in the Netflix series “Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE”, which is a talent competition reality show created as a collaboration between record labels Hybe and Geffen Records.
But she was eliminated. She recalled, “That was the worst year of my life. Seriously. It sucked. I didn't know who I was.”
After that, she debuted as a solo artists and released two singles “HOMEWRECKED” and “SUPERSCAR” in 2024.
“HOMEWRECKED” amassing over a million streams on Spotify within a month of its release.
ADÉLA said, “I want to create a world that's relatable on a human level. I want to talk about things that are maybe uncomfortable. That's who I am as a person: I'm super blunt and kind of clinical, in a sense. I want to encourage people to be themselves.” -
