  • Craig David & Tiwa Savage Premiere New Song “Commitment” on BBC Radio 1

  • British singer-songwriter Craig David teamed up with Nigerian singer-songwriter Tiwa Savage to premiere a new song “Commitment” on BBC Radio 1Xtra with DJ Target

This marks the first collaboration between Craig David and Tiwa Savage.
The song follow “SOS”, which was released last month.
The track explores themes of love and relationships with his signature vocals over a mellow beat.
It was written by Craig David, Donel Donald Mangena, Mike Brainchild, Sean Wander, and Tiwatope Omolara Savage. Produced by Mike Brainchild.

Craig David said of the song, “Commitment is a song all about relationships and how any real meaningful relationships need commitment when things get tough. Having Tiwa Savage bless this song with her beautiful voice and bring her side of this love story was the perfect full circle of how honest communication in unison leads to harmony.”
  • Craig David told DJ Target about the song, “I gave a little snippets of the tune on the tour. And I was like, but will when people hear, when they hear Tiwa Savage, when they hear how you pattern the vocal on this year and the way the chorus hits, you're in for a treat. So that's why I was like, the matter people already gassed about. People forum going like, yo, when the team, when this drop it. I was like, now we get closer to the time.”

He continued, “I really hope that this song that we've done together to you what just it lands in the same way that I've been playing it in my house, and I know you've been playing it like it it does is, there's the ancestral vibes about this that's like, it's bigger than both of us. I think when people hear it, they'll know what we're talking about. But it lands in a different space.”

  • Tiwa Savage said of working with Craig David, “That's so much to learn. For me, like someone who's I mean legendary icon, everything. And for you to you don't find people like still putting in the work, because they feel like, I'm who I am. I'm just gonna drop it. And I don't need to do radio, I don't need to push. But just to see how, just to see your energy behind it, like we were joking outside when I said, every morning I wake up, I'm like, I'm not doing anything and then just to see you and just see how passionate you are, still, that's just inspiring to me.”
