Halsey Releases New Song “safeword”
American singer-songwriter Halsey released a new punk rock song “safeword” along with a music video on February 27, 2025.
The song is their first single since the fifth studio album “The Great Impersonator”, which was released last October.
They teased the song on social media and described the song as “Obedience”.
Halsey sings, “Yes, sir, no, sir, on all fours / Are you ready to get what you've been waiting for? / I'm not a criminal, I'm just a wild child / I'm not a bad girl, I just like it wild style / I'm tough, I'm mean, I'm rough / Just say the safe word when you've had enough.”
The track was written and produced by, Halsey, Austin Corona, and Wyatt Bernard.
The accompanying video was directed by Lana Jay Lackey. The clip features lots of provocative poses, tight leather, spikes, spanking, and consensual domination.- Halsey embarks on For My Last Trick: The Tour, which features guest appearances from Del Water Gap, the Warning, Evanescence, Hope Tala, Royel Otis, Sir Chloe, flowerovlove, and Alemeda.
The tour kicks off at Toyota Pavilion at Concord in Concord, CA on May 10 and will conclude at Yaamava' Theater in Highland, CA on July 6 2025.

I think people are usually pretty surprised when they come to see me in concert, especially if they only know me for the songs on the radio. The show can be quite, like, aggressive. Like, I'm like a little demon. I get out there and have to exorcise some stuff.”
