Kai Bosch Announces New EP “Popstar of Your Dreams”, Shares New Song “Angel”
London-based singer-songwriter Kai Bosch has announced his upcoming fourth EP “Popstar of Your Dreams” will be released on April 16, 2025.
The EP is his first project since 5-track EP “Love, Throw Me A Bone”, which was released last April.
From the EP, he released the third single called “Angel” on February 19, 2025, following “Rodeo Romeo” and “Everything Is Beautiful”.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Pop with Maia Beth.
It was written by Gabe Coulter, Jack Rennie, and Kai Bosch. Produced by Kai Bosch and Duncan Mills.
Kai Bosch said of the song, “To be blunt, 'Angel' is about thinking of someone else when you're having sex. Shortly after my first breakup, I found myself in the thick of a rebound relationship. He was a lovely guy, and there was objectively nothing wrong with him, but I couldn't help secretly yearning for the past. It's about being with someone so kind, gentle, and perfect (an angel, if you will) yet still pining for something painful and ugly”- He added, “'Angel' is my crack at a disco-heartbreak anthem—I wanted to make a song that required a glitter ball and some flared trousers. And not to toot my own horn, but mission success in my opinion!”
Kai Bosch shared on social media, “Wrote this one a few summers ago with my pals Gabe Coulter and Jack Rennie, I knew it was a special one the second we wrote it and I'm chuffed that it ended up sounding how it did thanks to king Duncan Mills - a disco bop if you will!!!” - source : BBC Radio 1
