Jimmy & The Veil Releases Debut Album “The Wreckage”
American indie-rock singer-songwriter James Allen Wright, aka Jimmy & the Veil released his debut album “The Wreckage” on February 12, 2025.
The album comprises 11 songs, featuring a guest appearance from American rock band Dance Gavin Dance's vocalist Andrew Michael Wells.
All songs were written by James Allen Wright and mixed and engineered by Will Beasley.
The album delves into topics like openness, self-forgiveness, and the nuances of human conditions. Each song is a reflection of his passion for music and storytelling.
James Allen Wright said of the album, “If I could sum up my sentiments of this album in one word it would be 'vulnerability'. It's one thing, as an artist, to allow yourself refuge and therapy in your creative process. It's another to wrap it up in a bow for every willing ear to consume, but growth is uncomfortable. At the end of the day, I'm incredibly proud of this record and I think sharing it can truly help others navigating tougher seasons.”- He shared on social media, “A year and a half of work with the support and expertise of some pretty amazing people. Thank you for all the support. As a small artist, it means the world to have your ear.”

James Allen Wright explained about some tracks for the album.
“Diamonds”
“I was in the darkest place that I have ever been in personally. 'Diamonds' was me exploring the darker feelings I was battling in that season. My everyday life was filled with the pressure of presentation, so much so that it oppressed my innate passion to be a genuine, unapologetic artist. The artist in me was crying out, and the studio therapy that emerged with it awakened this entire project. I felt every word of this project, and my hope is that listeners feel it too.”
“Aggressive Sales Tactics”
“I believe we all require a genuine human connection that only happens when we stop being the 'salesperson,' In my professional life, I have spent so much time engrossed in optics and enslaved to presentation. I'm over it. I want to be real.”
“Weightless” featuring Andrew Michael Wells
“I think we all have regrets that we wrestle with-those lingering feelings that no amount of forgiveness can fully erase. To me, that defines the human condition. It's proof of an innate sense of morality and goodwill. I was stoked to have Andrew work his magic on this track with me. He's one of my heroes in the scene—a true artist and an incredibly hard worker.”
“Blink Twice”
“When I was going through a dark season, I found a lot of inspiration in the violently beautiful NC Coastline. I wanted this song to possess the emotional crashes and rhythmic persistence that mimics 'that' beating we sometimes receive from life. Reflectively, I found it incredibly therapeutic to write this song from the perspective of being there for someone else; reassuring them that the darkness would pass and I would be there no matter what.” - source : Apple Music
