Morcheeba Announces New Album “Escape The Chaos”, Premieres New Song “We Live And Die” on BBC Radio 6
British electro-pop band Morcheeba, consisting of Skye Edwards (vocals) and Ross Godfrey (guitar), has announced their upcoming eleventh studio album “Escape The Chaos” will be released on May 23, 2025 via 100% Records.
This marks their first album in four years since the 2021 album “Blackest Blue”.
The album comprises 12 songs, featuring a guest appearance from British rapper Oscar #Worldpeace.
The band lead singer said of the album, “This whole record is a process of trying to reconnect with what really matters. whether it's what in your heart or with the world, putting your feet on grass and feeling the earth beneath you.”
From the album, the band premiered a new song “We Live And Die” on BBC Radio 6 Music with Craig Charles.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Call For Love” released last month.
It was written by Skye Edwards, and Ross Godfrey who also produced the track.- Skye Edwards said of the song, “For me, 'We Live and Die' is about my duration in the band and the music world and life in general. The lines become blurred after all this time. In a way, it's a homage to the thirty years of being in Morcheeba which is 60% of my existence.”

She told Craig Charles about the song, “So it's a little bit about, as I said, being in Morcheeba, and a little bit about just life in general, really. So it's kind of like I've got two husbands, my miracle husband, and my band husband, Ross type thing. So that's really the story, and it's got a kind of, if we were going to be picked for a Bond movie, then they'd have to call it, We Live And Die. I think it would make a great Bond movie theme tune.” - source : BBC Radio 6
