TRY Releases New Song “Rather” with Bipolar Sunshine
American production duo TRY teamed up with British singer-songwriter Bipolar Sunshine to release a new song “Rather” on February 21, 2025.
TRY is a collaborative project formed by American DJ Sam i and Nashville-based music producer Shmuck the Loyal.
The song is taken from their upcoming self-titled debut album, which is set to be released on March 28, 2025.
It was written by Adio Marchant, Brennan Larsen, Jarina De Marco, and Sam Spiegel. Produced by Sam i, Shmuck the Loyal, and Justin Hori.
Sam i said of the song, “'Rather' explores the beautiful ache of yearning. It's an emotion that contains both pain and power, and we tried to explore both on this song.”- The debut album features collaborations with RZA, RY X, JAY1, DreamDoll, EARTHGANG, and Empress Of.
The duo said of the album, “It is a body of work we've been working on for many years. W're very proud of it. You need to listen to the album from the start to the finish. It's designed to be listen all the way through. It's kind of this interwoven movie of an album. That's how you're going to understand it. That's how you're going to feel it the most. We've been putting out all these songs and we're such genre hoppers, kind of hard for people to really understand what the project is. But I think when you hear this as one body of work, the vision is much clear. Totally. And even songs that you guys have heard before listen to them all the way through. We've added a little like treats and easter eggs in there. There's a bunch of beautiful interludes with some great guest. We're really proud of it.
