The Ivy & Lyncs Team Up for New Song “Don't Fall Asleep To This”
Tulsa-based indie pop duo The Ivy, consisting of Wyatt Clem (vocals/guitar) and Shawn Abhari (synth/bass), and American singer-songwriter Jacqueline Hynes, aka Lyncs teamed up to release a new song “Don't Fall Asleep To This” on February 21, 2025.
The collaboration was born serendipitously during a writing trip in Los Angeles.
This marks the first collaboration between The Ivy and Lyncs.
For The Ivy, the song follows “Every Little Ladder”, which was released last November.
Meanwhile, for Lyncs, the track is her first collaborative song of 2025 after the release of the EP “SICK + SIN” last November.
The song showcases the combined indie-pop brilliance of both acts, delivering a heartfelt ode to the challenges and hopes of long-distance relationships.
It was written and produced by Jacqueline Hynes, Shawn Abhari, and Wyatt Clem.
The accompanying music video was directed by Grant Wynn.- Lyncs said of the song, “Working with The Ivy on 'Don't Fall Asleep To This' was an incredible experience. The song started with a mesmerizing, lullaby-like synthesizer. Initially, we leaned into that dreamy, slow vibe, but by the second day, we transformed it into something more upbeat and driving, which gave it that dynamic energy that matched both our sounds.”
The Ivy added, “The writing process felt so natural and seamless. We're thrilled with what we created together.” -
The Ivy and Lyncs embark on Spring 2025. The tour kicks off at Juno in Albuquerque, NM on March 25 and will conclude at Paper Tige in San Antonio, TX on April 23, 2025.
