Sunday (1994) Releases New Song “Doomsday”
Los Angeles-based pop trio Sunday (1994), consisting of Paige Turner (vocals), Lee Newell (guitar) and Puma (drums), released a new song “Doomsday” on February 21, 2025.
The song is the first single of 2025 and is their first music since the deluxe debut EP “Sunday (1994)”, which was released last September.
It was written by Paige Turner, and Lee Newell who also produced the track.
The accompanying music video was directed by Lee Newell.
The band said of the song, “When I love someone too much, I can't help but wait for the inevitable. 'Doomsday' is a song about the ghost I can't stop kissing, the funeral I keep dressing up for.”- The band shared on social media, “Doomsday has arrived. Human sacrifice, cats and dogs living together-mass hysteria. Well, not quite, but the song is out, and so is the video. Have you seen it yet? It's grainy, it's pouty, and yes, there's a slow-motion spin. We had cartoons in there too, but neither Hanna nor Barbera were feeling generous. So, more shots of us instead. Enough rambling. Seriously thank you for listening, you have no idea what it means to us.”
