Oswald Slain Announces Debut EP “Kiss Me On The Mouth”, Shares New Song “UGLY”
Bristol-based rock band Oswald Slain, consisting of Charlie Fitzgerald (vocals/guitar), Rhii Williams (drums), Ryan Rogers (synths), Chris Axe (bass) and Cydney Brown (acoustic guitar), has announced their debut EP “Kiss Me On The Mouth” will be released in April 2025.
The band is known as formerly Little Thief, it is the first release as Oswald Slain.
The band recorded and produced the EP in their DIY home studio. Their music reflects a period of introspection and growth, combining humorous, evocative songwriting with the timeless swagger of old retro rock records.
From the EP, the band unveiled a new song “UGLY” on February 21, 2025.
The song is the second single off of the EP, following “Happiness is Overrated” released last December.
The track was written by Charlie Fitzgerald and Rhii Williams. Produced by Oswald Slain.- The band frontman Charlie Fitzgerald said of the song, “UGLY was one of the first tunes we made at home messing about in our little studio. We really enjoyed the slapping drum beat and fuzzy guitars and wanted to make something gross and tacky with some pretty moments. Lyrically it's inspired by the film Boogie Nights and all the deranged antics that went on behind the glitz and the glamour of the 70's adult entertainment industry. I like things that aren't perfect and people who are not afraid to just be themselves; everyone has an ugly side or a bad angle but that only adds to an overall greater beauty in my opinion.”
