Florrie Returns with New Song “Pieces”
British pop singer-songwriter Florence Arnold , aka Florrie returned with a new song “Pieces” on February 21, 2025
The song is her first music since the 2024 debut album “The Lost Ones” and is the first single of 2025.
She first teased the song in January via social media.
Florrie said, “In lots of ways it feels like the end of the album era. I love that all the songs are still growing and reaching new ears week by week...and I hope that carries on alongside the new music I’ll be releasing this year.”
The track was written by Ben Taylor, Brian Higgins, Florrie Arnold, Michael Fatkin, and Owen Parker. Produced by Florrie Arnold, Brian Higgins, and Ben Taylor.
The accompanying music video was filmed in Joshua Tree, California.
Florrie said of the song, “Despite the first line of the chorus, Pieces isn't actually a song about heartbreak, it's about what comes after. It's about picking yourself up when everything is falling apart around you, and making it through all the mess and chaos, and deciding to back yourself…because you realise that you're worth more than what you left behind. For anyone going through this, or anyone who has gone through this I love you and you have got this. For anyone who isn't (I really hope a lot of you!!) here's the 'crying in the discotheque' banger you asked for. I love making music for you.”- She said of the video, “Super early mornings to get that good light, a lot of coffee, a lot of trying not to break my leg falling off rocks, a lot of ridiculous interprative dance (thank god for editing) a lot of sunburn...and yes I did scar my face with the hair tongs, but tbh I think I rocked it. I loved making this video for you, I think running around pretending I can dance in the desert might really be my happy place...”
