Selena Gomez, benny blanco & Gracie Abrams Team Up for New Song “Call Me When You Break Up”
American singer-songwriter Selena Gomez and American record producer benny blanco joined forces with American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams to release a new song “Call Me When You Break Up” on February 20, 2025.
The song is the second single off of Selena Gomez and benny blanco's upcoming collaborative album “I Said I Love You First”, following “Scared of Loving You”.
The collaborative album is set to be released on March 21, 2025.
For Gracie Abrams, the track is the first collaboration with benny blanco in four years since “Unlearn”, which is featured on his 2021 album “FRIENDS KEEP SECRETS 2”.
Gracie Abrams first performed the song during her The Secret of Us Tour in Hamburg on February 19, 2025.
The track was written by Benjamin Levin, Dylan Brady, Gracie Abrams, Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, Magnus Høiberg, Mattias Larsson, Robin Fredriksson, and Selena Gomez. Produced by benny blanco, Cashmere Cat, and Dylan Brady.- Selena Gomez said, “Seriously had the BEST time making this song and video with these two!”
Gracie Abrams added, “Thank you for letting me in on your magic. It is the sweetest.”

The collaborative album “I Said I Love You First” comprises 14 songs, produced by benny blanco. According to a press release, the album is described as celebration of “the pair's love story, giving fans a unique window into their relationship. It chronicles their entire story-before they met, falling in love and looking to what the future holds.” -
Selena Gomez told Interview Magazine about the album, “The fact that he listened to me. Sometimes it's difficult for me to speak up. Most of my anxiety right now is wanting him to speak because I feel like he's more talented than I am in this field. It's like working with a great filmmaker. Whether we were together or not, I think he still would've listened to everything that I had to say, and he was able to almost transcribe it into music, into what the feeling of what I was talking about should be. And I really found that to be helpful because this album definitely feels just as much mine as I'm sure it does his.”
benny blanco added, “We also just made it in this house. We weren't going to a studio every day. I'd be like, 'Hey, I have this cool chord thing.' Then she'd come in. We weren't like, 'Today's the studio. We're going to write this song and that.' So many times it was so hodgepodge. It was like two hours here, two hours there. I'd never worked that way with someone. Usually I work that way if I'm by myself, but it was so cool to be able to do that with her.”
