Wishy Announces New EP “Planet Popstar”, Shares New Song “Fly”
Indianapolis-based dream pop band Wishy, consisting of Kevin Krauter (vocals/guitar), Nina Pitchkites (vocals/guitar), Dimitri Morris (guitar), Mitch Collins (bass), and Conner Host (drums), has announced their upcoming EP “Planet Popstar” will be released on April 25, 2025 via Winspear.
The EP features 6 b-side tracks recorded during the sessions for their debut album “Triple Seven”, which was released last August.
Also, the collection will be released as a double EP vinyl set “Paradise on Planet Popstar”, including their debut EP “Paradise”.
The band guitarist Kevin Krauter said of the EP, “We really wanted to lean into the high-production style and had a lot of fun in the studio using these songs as an opportunity to explore a more polished, adult-contemporary feel.”
From the EP, the band released a new song “Fly” on February 19, 2025.
The track was written by Kevin Krauter, Nina Pitchkites, and Steve Marino. Produced by Kevin Krauter and Ben Lumsdaine.- Lead singer Nina Pitchkites said of the song, “This song conveys a general theme of enjoying the present, being in love, and not taking yourself too seriously. Me, Kevin, and Steve Marino co-wrote this song around the same time we wrote the track ‘Triple Seven’. It was one of several demos that Steve brought to the table for us to toy with.”
