American singer-songwriter Mike Hadreas, aka Perfume Genius released the second single called “No Front Teeth” from his upcoming seventh studio album “Glory” on February 19, 2025.
On the track, he teamed up with New Zealand indie folk singer-songwriter Aldous Harding.
This marks the first collaboration between Perfume Genius and Aldous Harding.
The track was written by Mike Hadreas and produced by Blake Mills. The accompanying music video was directed by Cody Critcheloe, who also directed his previous video for “It's a Mirror”.
Also, his longtime band member and co-writer Alan Wyffels appeared on the video.
Aldous Harding said of this collaboration, “Perfume Genius has been part of me for well over 10 years now. So beautiful, so wretched I did need him from the moment I heard him. His connectedness FAR FAR ahead of me, something to strive for. One of the TRUE greats just standing there. Thank you for having us Mike, you have me, forever.”- The new album comprises 11 songs, which Perfume Genius worked with producer Blake Mills, and features contributions from guitarists Meg Duffy and Greg Uhlmann, drummers Tim Carr and Jim Keltner, and bassist Pat Kelly.
Perfume Genius said of collaborative process with the musicians, “I'm more engaged with the band and the audience. I'm still on some wild tear, but there's more access and it's more collaborative, in a way that makes it better, but also scary—because it feels more vulnerable.” -
