chloe moriondo Announces New Album “oyster”, Shares New Song “hate it”
American singer-songwriter chloe moriondo has announced her upcoming fourth studio album “oyster” will be released on March 28, 2025.
The album is her first LP in three years since the 2022 album “SUCKERPUNCH” and comprises 13 songs.
chloe moriondo said, “I'm so fucking ecstatic for this album to be out. I've been yearning to release it since its conception and I'm bursting at the shell trying not to leak it all now. It's full of vulnerability, frivolous crushes, despair, parties, and 17 billion tons of salt water. The world is my oyster, and soon it will be yours too!”
From the album, she released a new song “hate it” along with a music video on February 19, 2025.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “shoreline” released last month.
It was written by Andrew Haas, chloe moriondo, Ian Franzino, and Steph Jones. Produced by Afterhrs.
chloe moriondo said of the song, “'hate it' encapsulates all the feelings of jealousy, hatred, and obsession that can come with a crush on someone unattainable, or yearning for a life that feels unattainable.”- chloe moriondo told Billboard about the song, “It's one of the only non-aquatic songs off the album. I did stick very thematically with the ocean, water and all things aquatic in general. But 'Hate It' was an oddball, and it just proved to me that I'm going to continue writing murderous pop love songs till I die, I'm pretty sure. And we just couldn't leave her off the album.”

She added about the album, “It was very cathartic to be able to pour out everything that had been going on in my brain and in my life. It was nerve-wracking, in some ways. I kind of felt like a baby sea turtle - flopping around, confused — for the first couple sessions and the first couple songs. I felt a little bit nervous, but it also felt like an outpouring of pent-up energy and emotion that I was excited to finally be able to release.”
